This is the third screen print we've printed for the Maestro Malaquias Montoya and is a reprint of his 1972 poster for Jesus Treviños film "Yo Soy Chicano". Malaquias was super generous and offered his art as a fundraiser for Xicana Mortorium Day in Oakland and to help me fundraise for my grad school tuition. The poster was released at the opening of Malaquias' Exhibit "Al Empezar" at EastSide Arts Alliance in Oakland. The print is four colors on 20" x 26" heavy art paper, and is a signed and numbered edition of 99. Thanks to Santiago Mazatl for helping me mix all the colors for the edition.
