I’ve been wondering what it means to heal from our colonial trauma as a Xicanx people. To reclaim what has been taken, reconnect with the traditions we lost. This is not an easy process, we have very little guidance and not many elders. This is an interesting time for us and it’s important to relearn what it means to be with earth and reconnect with what we lost. But we must do this in a good way, respect our relatives whose lands we live on now.
